My current status:
I'm going into hospital for a hip replacement tomorrow. I'm strangely excited. No-one likes surgery, of course, but I'm looking at it as just another adventure. And I do like adventure. More importantly, I've started planning all the things I'm going to do once I'm all healed up - and the list is looking good.

Yes, it’s a ring. Yes, it’s in a bowl of cat food. No, this is not the Royal Canin “Lucky Packet” variant. It is, in fact, all part of William’s plan to confuse and fluster Elizabeth and to make me wonder where on earth my jewellery has vanished to. (Other items he has deposited in the food bowl include necklaces, bracelets, hairbands, peppermints and a weird little rubber animal I once found in a KinderJoy egg.)
